YOUR CHILD’S CLASS STRUCTURE BROKEN DOWN

U4 GROUP: 3 TO 4 YEAR OLDS

4 sessions per week

Optional to attend all

45 mins per session

8 players: 1 coach

U4-group

OBJECTIVES:

  • MATCHPLAY: No matches. Focus will be on shooting past a goalkeeper only.
  • TECHNICAL: Improve basic individual technique 
  • PHYSICAL: Develop coordination and basic motor skills with and without the ball
  • PSYCHOSOCIAL: Feel comfortable and confident with the ball

By the end of the season, the player will be capable of:

  1. Handling the ball comfortably with at least one foot and both hands 
  2. Scoring goals comfortably past a goalkeeper 
  3. Running, jumping, stopping and back paddling with and without the ball

U6 GROUP: 5 TO 6 YEAR OLDS

4 sessions per week

Optional to attend all

60 mins per session

10 players: 1 coach

OBJECTIVES:

  • MATCHPLAY: Take up good positions during the game 

  • TECHNICAL: Improve basic individual technique further

  • PHYSICAL: Develop coordination and basic motor skills with and without the ball 

  • PSYCHOSOCIAL: Increase confidence with the ball

By the end of the season, the player will be capable of:

  1. Handling the ball with both feet and both hands 
  2. Occupying the original position during the game once an action is finished (Positioning) 
  3. Basic coordinated movements with and without the ball

U8 GROUP: 7 TO 8 YEAR OLDS

4 sessions per week

Optional to attend all

70 mins per session

12 players: 1 coach

U8-group

OBJECTIVES:

  • MATCHPLAY: Awareness of the movement of the ball and positioning of teammates

  • TECHNICAL: Individual and collective basic football techniques 

  • PHYSICAL: Develop speed, coordination and basic motor skills with and without the ball 

  • PSYCHOSOCIAL: Interact with all teammates during the training session

By the end of the season, the player will be capable of:

  1. Stopping and running with the ball at speed
  2. Moving forward when attacking and retreating when defending
  3. Basic quick movements with and without the ball
  4. Basic skills in 1 vs 1

U10 GROUP: 9 TO 10 YEAR OLDS

4 sessions per week

Optional to attend all

90 mins per session

14 players: 1 coach

OBJECTIVES:

  • MATCHPLAY: Efficiently occupy space in relation to the ball and to teammates 

  • TACTICAL: Creating space and applying basic principles of attack and defence

  • TECHNICAL: Accuracy in individual soccer techniques 

  • PHYSICAL: Develop speed, agility, coordination and balance

  • PSYCHOSOCIAL: Interact positively and feel confident within the group

     

By the end of the season, the player will be capable of:

  1. Being efficient in 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 situations 
  2. Application of basic attacking and defending principles 
  3. Coordinated movements at speed

U12 GROUP: 11 TO 12 YEAR OLDS

4 sessions per week

90 mins per session

14 players: 1 coach

OBJECTIVES:

  • MATCHPLAY: Improve possession and transition as well as collective defending during the match 

  • TACTICAL: Develop attacking/defending principles further and combination play 

  • TECHNICAL: Focus on quality of passing and receiving technique as well as ball control in game situations 

  • PHYSICAL: Compete to increase speed, agility, coordination and balance in competitive games 

  • PSYCHOSOCIAL: Increase collective self-confidence

By the end of the season, the player will be capable of:

  1. Application of technique at speed in game situations 
  2. Application of attacking and defending principles in games 
  3. Agility, coordination and speed movements in simple practices
